11/25/2015 Japan-Taiwan Friendship Tennis Tournament

Thanks to Prisident of Chi-Ba-Ken Tennis association Takada San and James Chang that through months of communication, the tournament was finally put into reality.

Though the weather report predicted a cloudy with slight rain day which got everyone of us worried,
it turned out to be a cloudy with partly sunny day.

The games went on very well with first men's double and women's double between Japan team and Taiwan team. There are 16 sets played which we played with no ad game to cut down the play time.

In the afternoon, mixed double and mixed players were arranged according to ages and skills. Another 16 sets played until everyone felt exhausted.

The welcome dinner party was held at 6:30pm at Hai-Ba-Wang Seafood Restaurant. There everyone enjoyed the delicious Taiwanese styled seafood banquet tables with wine and beer.

The Vice President of JSTA Furukawa Fumio San first gave a short speech for the special occasion and then the president of Taiwan Tennis Association, James Chang gave the welcome speech. He then started the evening with a song to greet everyone.

The ladies of Japan team then went to have costume changed and presented a HAwaiian Hula Dance. It was so beautiful and enticing that some of the Taiwan team members came out to join them. Oh, it was such a joyful moment! There are many Japanese songs sung by Taiwan Team members to show their sincere welcome and later Japan team presented three songs that can be sung in both Japanese and Chinese which had got everyone into singing!

During the Party, both team leaders also present with each other their team's polo shirts as gifts to each player. Mr. Wu Ming-San from Taiwan team also presented a small gift for each one of the Japan team for their warm gifts during the day.  Japan team again returned with their 2020 Tokyo Olympic pins for Taiwan members.

Finally the president of TTA led the crowd to sing a farewell song to end the party.

It was a memorable one and we all hope that there will be more of such type of friendship tournament going between Japan and Taiwan in the future!

3/28/2015 TTA "Invitational Group Tennis Tournament"

TTA held an "Invitational Group Tennis Tournament" on 3/28/2015.

Thanks to God, the weather became clear after several days of raining.

The invited teams includes,
Mu-Cha Tennis Team
Da-Xin-Dien Tennis Team
Pu-Xin Tennis Team

plus three teams from TTA Members.

Each team was composed of 10-12 players including captain and/or coach.
Each team was to compete with 5 doubles.

TTA was honored to have three Japanese players Takada Kenji, Takada Yasuko, and Ota Tomohiro
joined the TTA team to compete with others.

TTA also had two old friends (participated in tournament in earlier year) from Hong-Kong. Their names are Iris Chung and Cathy Chan.

The tournament was held at Hu-Na Tennis Club at Xin-Dien District of New Taipei City.
 

10/26/2014 Individual Double Tennis Tournament

Thanks to Mr. Chiang Hong-Wu, the president of "Golden Rock Security Corp.", TTA was able to
hold a "Individual Tennis Tournament" on 10/26/2014.

The players were classified into age groups of :
Men's Double:       50+,  55+, 60+,  65+,  70+, 75+
Women's Double:  40+,  45+, 50+,  55+,  60+, 65+

Women players could add 10ys to participate in Men's Group.
If there were not enough players in certain group, the signed up player would
need to move down one age group to compete.

All the players were awarded with participating award.
The first, second and third place winners were all awarded with prizes presented by
TTA president James Chang and Secretary General Shu-Er Lee.

3/23/2014 "Golden Rock Security Cup" Tennis Tournament

With Sponsorship of Mr. Chaing Hong-Wu, the president of "Golden Rock Security Corp.", Taiwan Tennis Association held an Invitational Group Tennis Tournament on 3/23/2014.

The weather turned warm from all-time cold and with partly cloudy sky, it was the very good weather to play tennis. However,  a short windy period of time had slowed the pace of the tournament a little bit.

The invited teams were classified into two groups:

Group A
Mu-Cha Tennis Team
Tao-Yuan Tennis Team
TTA Golden Rock Team
Ta-Xin-Dien Tennis Team

Group B
Ta-Chih Tennis Team
Yang-Mei Tennis Team
TTA "Orient Watch" Team

Each team composed of 10-12 players includes captain and coach.
Each team will have 5 dobules to compete with other team of the same group.

The result came out as follows,

Each team was granted prizes by TTA president and Secretary General.
